MISSION STATEMENT

OTUSA offers age and skill appropriate programs for the youth of Ocean Township and surrounding communities that will foster a passion for the game of soccer. Learning soccer skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork will result in a fun and positive experience for our players and their families. Pride in the club, schools and community will help children grow into better players, team mates, and citizens.

OUR CLUB

Established in 1975, OTUSA was established with the objective to create a positive experience for kids while allowing them to learn sportsmanship, increase physical fitness, and develop soccer skills. With over 500 athletes and dozens of dedicated coaches and volunteers, OTUSA is one of the most respected soccer programs in New Jersey.

OTUSA also hosts the annual Jersey Shore Champions Cup every June. Since its inception in 1975, the tournament hosts more than 240 teams from across the Northeast every year. Funds from the tournament are used to subsidize programs to further the development of our players, such as a free foot skills and dedicated goalkeeper development programs. The investment in development has paid off with many OTUSA teams competing at the highest level of competition across the country.

In the Spring of 2015, the U14 boys OTUSA Spartans were NJ State Cup Champions, Mid-Atlantic Regional Champions, and National Cup Finalists, which is an outstanding highlight in the club's storied history.

Please visit our Trophy Room for a listing of our teams accomplishments.

OUR PROGRAMS

grassroot-b

Grassroots

Grassroots is a year round program with a focus on small sided games; 4v4 and 3v3.  Our grassroots is made up of U5,U6, U7 age groups.  This division introduces players to soccer and prepares them for further play.  We want to encourage a sense of purpose and belonging on the field that only small sided games can give at this age. Multiple touches and repetitions of scenarios will aid in a child’s development and they will adopt these qualities through this type of game play.

Dynamic movement is encouraged and our 3v3 and 4v4 methodology provides the conditions to learn basic technical skills of dribbling, passing, receiving and shooting as well as basic triangle and diamond shapes. More Information

Travel Teams

The Travel Program accommodates both boys and girls soccer teams from ages U8 to U17. Our teams compete in MOSA and EDP soccer leagues thourght the region. Teams also compete in area tournaments and the NJYS State Cup.

Each team is managed by a paid professional and supported by parent volunteers. Player and Team development is overseen by OTUSA Director of Coaching Darren Spurrier of Spurrier PST.

OTUSA fosters an environment where players of different levels of technical ability can develop in a competitive environment. As result of this philosophy many of our small -sided age groups have multiple teams Player Tryouts and ID Sessions
