WINTER SKILLS TRAINING-2018

Ball Control, First Touch and Dribbling: Come and improve your technical soccer skills by gaining comfort on the ball through your coordinative capabilities. Focus will be on 3 pillars of development.  Ball manipulation, dribbling, and passing.  Follow this program and trust in the process and you will see a rise in technical development.  Come motivated to work hard for an hour and see the dramatic results.  Play and train with the Ocean Spartans (B-North, Central Jersey group 3, SCT and overall Group 3 State Champions) for an even more exciting experience.

Finishing and Shooting: This 60-minute session is designed to create a training environment for repetition of the correct technique for shooting and finishing.  This program will focus on the key skills required to be a top goal scorer and will help the individual players finishing ability in different situations.  Player will be challenged in a variety of different situations.  Topics covered will be: correct technique for striking a ball, 1v1 in attacking 3rd, shooting from a distance, breakaways, finishing under pressure, volleys, crossing and finishing, fast footwork skills.  If your serious about improving your goal scoring prowess, then register for this program today!

Goalie Training: Come train with former Monmouth University goalkeeper, Chris Seager.  In each session we’ll be breaking down every technique it takes to be a successful goalkeeper.  Footwork, saves right at you, diving, cross saves, breakaways, distribution and much more…

GRASSROOTS PROGRAM

Our Grassroots program is available to children in Pre-Kindergarten through Second grade as of March 2019. The program's primary focus is to encourage kids to learn more about soccer. This is accomplished by providing age appropriate professional training sessions and fun oriented game situations where kids can put to use what they have learned.

Program Days of the Week

Practice sessions are held on Friday evenings and Kindergarten and Grade school games are played on Saturdays. Should game cancellation occur due to inclement weather, make up games may be scheduled for Sundays or weekdays.

Dates
The program runs April and continue through to June. 

Team Composition

Programs are co-ed in nature and are divided by birth year.
There are three divisions:

Pre-Kindergarten
Kindergarten
Grade School (1st and 2nd)

*Please note:
Pre-k is one session a week that is a mix of practice and scrimmage activities.
We are also limited to 16 participants for this program.

Equipment
All participants receive a shirt that matches their assigned team color.
Age appropriate shin guards are required.
Rubber cleats are recommended.
NO JEWELRY IS PERMITTED AT GAMES OR PRACTICES.
